the gulf is about being a raging alcoholic and trying to pass it off and hide it,
when it’s actually extremely obvious you’re going down hill and trying so
desperatelyto party the pain away. the fact this is a party pop song is a bit
ironic too lol. the lyric, “even more visible than crying” takes this reality to
the next extreme. imagine your addiction being more evident than a visual
emotional response.
